Congregational Life
SUM
Hope
The mission of this new ministry at SUMC is to minister to those
experiencing loss of a loved one, illness of a loved one,
divorce, alienation of a family member or loss of a job.
This ministry team will reach out to our fellow parishioners
with love, comfort, friendship, prayers and our presence.
Helping
Hands
The purpose of this ministry is to coordinate people who will
provide meals and/or rides for our congregation. When
someone is home from the hospital or if someone is unable to
drive for themselves, this ministry team will coordinate
"helpers".
Emergency Assistance Center
The Center continues to be in need of non-perishable foods and paper goods. Please help by bringing canned foods, packages of pasta, of all kinds, cereal, soup as well as paper towels, toilet paper, napkins and other paper goods. Place your donations in the grocery cart at the main entrance.
Red Bird Mission School
SUMC supports the Red Bird Mission School by collecting Campbell's labels and General Mills box tops for education. A complete list of labels can be found on the Red Bird bulletin board in the hall outside of the Sanctuary.
The City Mission
Every fourth Saturday of the month, volunteers serve the evening meal to homeless men at The City Mission in downtown Cleveland. A sign-up sheet can be found on the Missions bulletin board in the hall near the Sanctuary.
Berea Children's Home & Family Serves
SUMC supports the Berea Children's Home by collecting clothing, art supplies and toiletries. A collection box can be found in Fellowship Hall.
