Community Support

Solon UMC's building is home to two community-based groups.

The Lear Siegler Group of Alcoholics Anonymous
The Lear Siegler Group has been in existence for 50 years and has been meeting at Solon United Methodist Church for more than 10 years.  The group is a member of the worldwide Alcoholics Anonymous organization.

Chuck C., Corresponding Secretary of the LSI Group offers this message of hope to the suffering alcoholic.

"Since its first meeting on September 14, 1957, at the Lear Siegler, Inc. plant in Maple Heights, the L.S.I. Group has been carrying AA's message of hope to the suffering alcoholic."

"If you, or someone you know, has a drinking program, perhaps we can help.  Our meeting is 'open' to any interested person.  We are accustomed to seeing non-alcoholic spouses of AA members and other close relatives and friends regularly."

"Please pay us a visit.  We'll be happy to answer any of your questions.  Naturally, all inquiries will be held in the strictest confidence."

"We are easily reached by phone. Simply leave a message at the church office."

"Thank you for your interest."

The LSI Group meets every Saturday at 7:30 pm.
